Mini-Concerts 2025

Date: 13/12/2025

  • Over the past three weekends, The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) presented four mini-concerts at the West Kowloon Centre Recital Hall. On November 30, December 6, 7, and 13, choral and percussion members took turns taking the stage, showcasing their annual learning achievements to parents through well-prepared performances. Each concert featured unique highlights, filled with the joy of growth and a festive atmosphere.

Led by Catherine Tso and Fion Yu, Preparatory C integrated percussion elements such as maracas and drums, blending vocals with rhythms to create lively melodies. For the first time, choral Preparatory E collaborated with Percussion P1 Junior B and P1 Junior D for a joint performance under the guidance of Wu On-Wai, Ho Tsz-yan and Nancy LauDonning Christmas hatsmembers performed classic festive songs including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells, creating a strong Christmas vibe. Led by Joyce Pang and Colleen Tse, Preparatory I members presented hand-drawn flower paintings to their parents, symbolizing growth, while singing The Story of Seeds. Finally, Senior C and Senior G also teamed up for their first joint performance, conducted by Rebecca Lam and Candy Chik, with Peggie Chan and Alexander Wong as accompanists. They presented A Little Jazz Mass which features lyrics adapted from Latin Mass words, demonstrating the advanced classes’ ability to master diverse musical styles. The concert concluded with the uplifting Winter Wonderland of Snow, wrapping up the series with warm melodies and a festive musical feast.

The mini-concerts were not only a concentrated showcase of HKCC members’ annual learning achievements but also a testament to their growth in musical expression and teamwork. Warm interactions and dedicated performances allowed parents to witness their children’s progress, while members gained valuable stage experience through practical performance.
