"Helping Others Brings Happiness to Wai Chai" Variety Show in Celebration of the 73rd Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China

To celebrate the 73th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) was invited by the Wai Chai District Office to perform in the "Helping Others Brings Happiness to Wai Chai" Variety Show on September 22 at Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

Director of Home Affairs Alice Cheung joined Deputy Director General of the Hong Kong Island Sub-office of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government (LOCPG) in the HKSAR Wang Hui and Chairman of Wan Chai District Council Ivan Wong in officiating the kick-off ceremony, followed by traditional lion dance and Cantonese operas performances. Led by conductor Vivian Ip, members of Chamber Youth presented This too, shall pass, Kalējs kala debesīs, Baba Yetu in the middle of the show, receiving a generous round of applause from the audience.
