Handbell Mini Concert 2022
Date: 11/12/2022
Handbell Mini Concert 2022 was successfully held at Homantin Centre on 11 December. As the first handbell music event organised after the pandemic, members of Handbell A and B were well prepared and practiced hard for the concert to bring a wonderful performance for our audience.
The Concert commenced with “Celtic Processional” and “Joy and Elation”, performed by the more experienced group Handbell A. It was then followed by various lively works such as “A Joyful Ring”, “Mickey Mouse March” and “Deck the Hall” performed by Handbell B, receiving a big round of applause.
After the group performances, three members from Handbell A graced the stage again with an ensemble performance. Despite having to hold and perform with more handbells, members showcased their outstanding teamwork and coordination skills honed through everyday practice by performing the melodic “Silent Night” in unison.
Members of Handbell A continued to perform “For the Beauty of the Earth”, “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “Joy to the World” thereafter. Finally, as the festive season was approaching, members from both groups, wearing Christmas hats, reappeared on stage and presented the jovial tune “Jingle Bells”, sharing the warmth and joy of Christmas as the concert came to an end.
