Dance Showcase 2022 – The Multiple Colours of Dance

Held at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre on 15 and 16 October, “Dance Showcase 2022 – The Multiple Colours of Dance” is The Hong Kong Children’s Choir (HKCC)’s first dance show in four years. Around five hundred members from Chinese Dance, Ballet, Tap Dance, Jazz Dance and Hip Hop showcased their talents and hard work to the audience in four performances.

Due to the pandemic, most members had less than half a year to prepare for the dance showcase. Given the limited preparation time, however, our members successfully presented on stage entertaining and amusing performances. Some classes chose to demonstrate the essence of regular class practice to give their parents insight into the class content, while others danced joyfully to a specific theme with costumes and props. Senior classes focused more on the dance techniques and artistic value of the programmes and won a round of applauses with their elegant postures and eye-catching choerography.
