Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China - Flag Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, The Hong Kong Children’s Choir was invited by the Committee of Youth Activities in Hong Kong to attend a Flag Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square on 14 September.
In line with the theme “75th anniversary”, 750 youngsters from various youth uniformed groups, primary and secondary schools participated in the ceremony. The ceremony was held at 8 in the morning, members from Intermediate 1E and 2C leading the attendees in singing the national anthem. The national flag and regional flag were gradually raised at the same time. Among the guests were Mr LIU Guangyuan, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Mr LI Yongsheng, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong; Mr CHEUK Wing-hing, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration; Mr. TANG Ping-keung, Secretary for Security and Ms. Alice MAK, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs.
