2025 January Intake Programme Booklet (11MB)

As a diversified arts organisation for children, The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) offers five distinct learning programmes for children with different artistic aspirations and interests, including Choral Programme, Dance Programme, Instrumental Programme, Putonghau Programme and Intelligence-Emotion-Creativity (IEC) Programme. Due to the varying teaching progress and the needs of individual programmes, each programme has its designated admission period and procedures as follows:

  • There are generally three stages in the Choral Programme: from understanding the basic components in singing to build up a solid foundation; to focus on listening and sight-singing training; ultimately to emphasize on professional choral techniques.

Percussion Class provides traditional Western percussion training. Members can learn the fundamental knowledge of music and performing arts, at the same time to develop a good sense of rhythm.

Open for application once a year in August. Interviews are usually held on weekends in late September to early October. Classes begin in January the next year for the successful applicants.
